Meet Erek And Luis: Building the next chapter in solar.

The story behind Assure Energy didn't begin with a business plan. It began years earlier, when Erek Clementson and Louis Cordero found themselves working together inside one of the most demanding parts of the residential solar industry: building, managing and developing large sales organizations. Erek and Louis first worked together at Motion Solar Group, where each took on different leadership responsibilities. Louis built and managed teams of door-to-door representatives and appointment setters, developing sales organizations from the ground up. Erek worked on a larger statewide scale, managing teams throughout Florida as part of the Home Depot solar program. His responsibilities included developing appointment-setting organizations and managing the sales teams responsible for converting those opportunities into solar customers. Between them, they gained firsthand experience managing hundreds of sales professionals and working across thousands of customer accounts. But some of their most valuable lessons came from seeing what happened when solar companies didn't get it right. Seeing the Industry From the Inside Eventually, Erek and Louis went in different directions professionally as Motion moved away from solar. Both remained connected to the industry. Over the following years, they worked with different organizations and saw many of the same challenges repeatedly: companies that could generate sales but struggled operationally, organizations that failed to properly manage their back-end processes, sales representatives who weren't supported or compensated the way they expected, and companies unwilling to make the investment required to recruit, train and develop successful field teams. They also watched an industry with enormous potential lose some of the confidence it had worked so hard to build with consumers. Erek and Louis stayed in contact throughout those years, regularly sharing what they were seeing and learning. Eventually, those conversations became something bigger. The Beginning of Assure Energy Erek took the first step. Drawing on years of experience in solar, construction, sales and organizational leadership, he began building Assure Energy and putting the infrastructure in place to get the company operating. As the business began gaining traction, Louis joined him. The partnership naturally returned to the strengths they had developed years earlier. Erek concentrated heavily on growth, sales strategy, partnerships and developing new opportunities, while Louis helped manage the operational and back-end side necessary to support that growth. But this time, they weren't building somebody else's organization. They were building their own. And they had the benefit of nearly a decade of lessons about what worked—and what didn't. Building More Than Another Solar Company From the beginning, the objective was bigger than simply selling more solar systems. Erek and Louis saw an opportunity to build an organization around the entire life cycle of residential energy. That vision became the foundation for Assure Energy and the growing group of programs surrounding it. Assure Energy focuses on solar and battery-storage solutions designed around the individual homeowner. Assure Protect was developed to address another major issue Erek and Louis encountered throughout their careers: homeowners who already invested in solar but no longer know where to turn for service, monitoring or support. And the company's expanding financial initiatives are being developed to create additional ways to fund and scale solar, battery and energy projects. Rather than treating the installation as the end of the customer relationship, Assure's strategy is to make it the beginning. Bringing New Growth Back to Solar Erek and Louis believe residential solar is entering another major period of transformation. The next generation of the industry isn't simply about putting panels on roofs. It's about combining solar generation, battery storage, energy management, long-term service and innovative financing into a more complete solution for homeowners. That transition is also creating new business opportunities. Assure Energy is positioning itself to participate in that growth by developing sales organizations, expanding its service infrastructure, building strategic relationships and creating programs designed to generate both new customer acquisition and long-term recurring relationships. For Erek and Louis, however, growth alone isn't the objective. They've already seen what happens when solar organizations grow faster than their infrastructure can support. This time, they're building differently. From Industry Experience to Industry Opportunity Nearly a decade in and around residential solar has given Erek and Louis something that can't be learned from a spreadsheet: perspective. They've recruited teams. They've managed sales organizations. They've worked across thousands of customer accounts. They've watched companies succeed, watched others disappear and experienced firsthand the operational challenges that can determine which one happens. Those experiences now influence how Assure Energy is being built. The company is still in an early stage of its larger vision, but its direction is clear: create an integrated platform connecting solar, battery storage, long-term protection and financial solutions under one growing organization. Erek and Louis aren't trying to recreate the solar company of the last decade. They're building Assure Energy around what they believe the energy company of the next decade needs to become.
